Our Story

The Log Cabin Restaurant is one of the oldest and most celebrated fine dining establishments in Lancaster County. Since 1933, it has been known for exceptional cuisine, warm hospitality, and timeless charm. Our team is proud to create memorable dining experiences for every guest from intimate dinners to milestone celebrations.

As we continue to grow and evolve, we are seeking a General Manager who can balance tradition and innovation, strategy and hospitality.

The Opportunity

The General Manager is responsible for overseeing every aspect of the restaurant from operations and finance to marketing and guest experience. In collaboration with the Partners and Executive Chef, the GM will work to ensure the restaurant meets and exceeds the high standards set by past owners and operators of The Log Cabin.

This is a leadership opportunity for someone who thrives at both strategic thinking and the in-person implementation of plans. We are looking for someone who can lead by example on the floor while also shaping the systems and relationships that drive long-term success.

Core Areas of Leadership

Strategic & Operational
Provide high-level guidance across departments, ensuring alignment between the front of house, kitchen, and partnership vision. Model professionalism, consistency, and guest-centered service.

Financial Management
Develop and manage budgets, review monthly performance, and optimize pricing, labor, and vendor relationships to ensure profitability and sustainability.

Marketing & Brand Strategy
Lead the restaurant’s brand initiatives including digital presence, partnerships, and storytelling in order to drive guest engagement and revenue growth. Evaluate success through data-driven measures such as guest acquisition, OpenTable conversion, and year-over-year sales.

Beverage Program Oversight
Oversee the full beverage program, including wine, cocktails, and nonalcoholic offerings. Ensure harmony with the culinary vision, maintain vendor partnerships, and support ongoing training in beverage knowledge and service.

Human Resources & Staff Development
Cultivate a culture of excellence, respect, and accountability. Support hiring, training, and development of staff to deliver consistently exceptional guest experiences.

Property & Vendor Management
Ensure that the restaurant’s property and physical presentation reflect its reputation for quality. Manage maintenance, contracts, and capital improvements in partnership with the team.

Guest Experience
Lead by presence. Engage with guests, monitor feedback, and uphold the standards that make every evening at the Log Cabin special.

  • 5–7 years of fine dining or luxury hospitality leadership
